The 2013 Pinot Noir Tina Marie Vineyard shows the generosity of the Russian River in its pliant, red berry fruit. Plum, red cherry and spice notes abound in a supple Pinot that will give everything it has pretty early on. It's hard to put the glass down in this juicy, immediate Pinot from Anthill Farms. Anthony Filiberti describes Tina Maria as the warmest Pinot site he works with. (AG) (1/2015)
With this Pinot, we look to create a food-friendly, nuanced wine that represents the unique character of the Anderson Valley. Somewhat remote from most of Northern California’s wine-growing districts, this valley shelters a surprisingly harmonious blend of the wild and the civilized: in one vista, one can see sheep ranches, redwood groves, apple orchards, and impenetrable oak scrub.
